Description
Other Name
Functional MRI
Note
fMRI
Advantages
Functional MRI technique is noninvasive and allows multiple tests for different odorants/concentrations in the same animal. Compared to 2DG and c-fos methods, fMRI provides a better temporal resolution.
Disadvantages
The fMRI signal does not discriminate possible contributions from individual neurons or glomeruli.
