Abeta inhibits nicotinic ACh receptors at pre-synaptic glutamatergic terminals, causing failure of nicotine-dependent enhancement of synaptic efficacy at Schaffer-collateral CA1 synapses of AD11 anti-nerve growth factor transgenic mice.
